These rings are unlined, meaning some metal-on-metal contact, friction and resistance should be expected, particularly when drawing curtains around the bends.

For smoother operation, we recommend gently guiding the curtains around the corners rather than pulling downwards on the rings.

Standard Round Rings

A small number of nylon-lined standard round rings are also included to prevent the curtains from travelling beyond the end brackets.

These rings feature a nylon lining to help reduce friction and provide smoother movement along the pole. However, they cannot travel over the passing brackets.

The quantity of each type of ring supplied will depend on the selected kit size.

Choice of Wall-Fix or Ceiling-Fix Brackets

The Elvora 28mm bay window curtain pole is available with either wall-fix or ceiling-fix brackets, allowing customers to choose the most suitable installation method for their window.

Suitable for Pleated Curtains

This bay window curtain pole is suitable for light to medium-weight pleated curtains, including pencil pleat curtains, which attach to the supplied rings using curtain hooks.

This kit is not suitable for eyelet curtains, as eyelet curtains cannot travel over the brackets or around the bay window corners.

We do not recommend this system for particularly tall windows where the curtain rings cannot be comfortably reached and guided around the bends.

Excessive downward pressure on the passing rings can increase friction against the pole and brackets, resulting in reduced curtain glide and more difficult operation.

For the best results, curtains should be moved gently and guided around the corners where necessary.

Installation and Assembly

This bay window curtain pole kit is supplied in individual components and requires assembly during installation.

The pole sections will need to be measured and cut to the required lengths to suit your bay window. We recommend using a fine-tooth hacksaw and carefully checking all measurements before cutting.
