Speedy 35mm End Cap 3 Sided Bay Window Pole Black

The Speedy 35mm End Cap 3-Sided Bay Window Curtain Pole in black combines a bold, contemporary finish with simple End Cap finials for a clean, understated appearance. Designed specifically for 3-sided bay windows, the system uses passing rings and brackets to allow curtains to travel across the different sections of the bay.

The black colour has a flat, non-reflective black finish rather than a gloss or highly polished appearance, making it particularly well suited to modern and industrial-style interiors. We recommend using the product images as a guide to the appearance of the finish before ordering.

This bay pole is supplied as separate components for assembly and cutting to size during installation. The pole sections are not pre-cut to your individual bay window measurements, so you or your fitter will need to measure the bay and cut the poles to the required lengths using a fine-tooth hacksaw.

The complete set includes 35mm metal poles, End Cap finials, nylon-lined passing rings, adjustable wall-fix passing brackets and corner joints.

Smooth Passing Rings

The nylon-lined passing rings provide a smoother, quieter glide along the pole. Their C-shaped design allows the rings to pass over the specially designed passing brackets, enabling the curtains to travel across the different sections of the bay.

For best performance, we recommend using curtains with a tightly gathered heading. Curtain hooks should be positioned in the top pocket of the curtain tape so that the curtains sit neatly beneath the passing rings.

The corner joints connect the pole sections at each angle of the bay and allow the passing rings to travel around the bends.

A-Frame Bracket System

This bay window curtain pole features Speedy's A-Frame bracket system, designed to provide secure support while allowing the curtain rings to travel smoothly around the bay.

Each kit includes three A-Frame standard brackets, positioned at both ends of the pole and in the centre. These feature a Quick Lock system with a rubber lug, which holds the pole securely in position without the need for conventional fixing screws through the pole.

The remaining brackets are A-Frame passing supports, positioned between the standard brackets. The pole simply rests on these supports, allowing the specially designed passing rings to travel over them without obstruction.

The wall-fix brackets are adjustable in projection, allowing the distance between the pole and wall to be altered to suit your installation requirements.

Alternatively, ceiling-fix brackets are available and can be selected when adding the product to your basket. Both fixing options are supplied with the same number of brackets for your chosen pole size.

Please note: this system is not suitable for bay windows with 90-degree angles.

Choosing the Correct Size

This 3-sided bay window curtain pole is available in different overall lengths, with a different combination of pole sections supplied depending on the size selected.

The size shown is the total length of pole supplied across all sections. It does not represent the individual length of each side of your bay window.

Before ordering, please check the individual pole lengths supplied with your chosen size and make sure they can be cut to suit all three sections of your bay window. The specification table below shows the exact combination of pole sections supplied with each size.

For example:

• 400cm set: supplied as 2 x 200cm poles
• 600cm set: supplied as 3 x 200cm poles

The pole sections can be cut down to the required lengths during installation using a fine-tooth hacksaw, but they cannot be made longer. It is therefore important to measure all three sections of your bay and check the pole combination supplied before ordering.

Installation Information

This bay window curtain pole is supplied as separate components and requires cutting, assembly and installation by the customer or their chosen fitter.

Please select your preferred wall-fix or ceiling-fix brackets when adding the product to your basket.

Fixing screws and plugs are not supplied. Suitable fixings should be selected according to the construction and condition of the wall or ceiling where the brackets will be installed.

Important Information

This bay window curtain pole is not suitable for eyelet curtains.

We do not recommend this system for very tall windows where the curtain rings cannot be comfortably reached and guided around the bends. Pulling the curtains from significantly below pole level can place additional downward pressure on the rings, increasing friction against the pole and passing components and making the curtains more difficult to operate.

Please check your bay window angles, measurements, individual pole lengths and suitability carefully before ordering.

Wall fixing screws and plugs are not supplied. Suitable fixings should be selected according to the construction and condition of the wall where the brackets will be installed.

Important: This bay window curtain pole is not suitable for eyelet curtains and should not be installed on tall windows where the rings cannot be comfortably guided around the bends. Excessive downward pressure on the rings can increase friction against the pole and brackets, resulting in reduced curtain glide and more difficult operation.
