Choosing the Correct Pole Length

The size you select refers to the length of the curtain pole only and does not include the decorative finials. Once fitted, the finials will increase the overall width of the completed curtain pole.

If you need to shorten the pole, it can be cut to the required length using a fine-toothed hacksaw before installation.

To help you calculate the overall width, the dimensions of the selected finials can be found in the Specification table further down this product page.

Top Tip: For the best appearance, we recommend choosing a pole that extends approximately 15–30cm beyond each side of the window, where space allows. This gives your curtains room to stack back neatly without covering the glass.
