The Speedy Sphere 28mm 5 sided bay window ceiling fixed curtain pole in black is ideal for larger bay window spaces where brackets need to be fitted to the ceiling. The round sphere finials provide a majestic and contemporary look, adding a bold finishing touch to your home décor.

Complete with Sphere finials, nylon lined passing rings, ceiling pass-over brackets and single corner joints, this stylish black metal bay curtain pole is designed to dress your bay window with elegance while offering practical functionality.

The passing rings are nylon lined to ensure they glide quietly and smoothly along the pole. Each ring features a small cut-out section, allowing it to pass over the adjustable ceiling brackets so your curtains can be fully opened to let maximum light into the room. Passing rings work best with curtains that have plenty of tightly gathered fabric in the heading. The top pocket on the curtain heading tape must be used so that the top of the curtain sits beneath the bottom of the rings. If the curtain fabric is not tightly gathered, the rings may not pass smoothly over the brackets as intended.

This set includes 7 fixed-position ceiling brackets. Each bracket has a drop of 81.5mm (8.15cm) from the top of the bracket to the cup where the pole sits. We recommend allowing approximately 85mm (8.5cm) between the ceiling and the top of the window panel to ensure the pole sits at the correct height. Less space may cause the pole to sit too low, potentially allowing light to seep in above the curtains. The back plate of each bracket measures 48.5mm (4.85cm) in length.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the poles can be cut to size using a small fine-tooth saw to suit your specific bay window dimensions. The single corner joints allow the rings to glide smoothly around angles of up to 60 degrees, making this Speedy Sphere bay window curtain pole suitable for most 5 sided bay window configurations.

We recommend using light to medium weight curtains with this pole for optimal performance.

Important: Not suitable for eyelet curtains and not suitable for tall windows. This bay window pole must not be fitted at a height so high that you are unable to glide the rings across the pole. If the pole is fitted too high, you will end up putting downward force on the rings, which in turn will cause friction against the pole and brackets. This will make it very difficult to open and close the curtains.
