Glider Options

The Silent Gliss 7610 Metropole can be supplied with several glider options, allowing you to choose the most suitable system for your curtain heading and fabric weight.

Standard Sliding Gliders – suitable for most curtain headings and medium-weight curtains.

Roller Gliders – fitted with small wheels to provide smoother movement, recommended for heavier curtains or longer tracks.

60mm Wave Gliders – corded gliders spaced 60mm apart to create a modern wave curtain heading with smaller, uniform folds.

80mm Wave Gliders – corded gliders spaced 80mm apart to produce deeper and more defined wave folds.

80mm Roller Wave Gliders – heavy-duty roller gliders joined by cord and spaced 80mm apart, recommended for heavier wave curtains as the wheeled design allows smoother movement along the track.

Bracket Options

The Metropole system can be installed using a variety of wall fix or ceiling fix brackets depending on your installation requirements.

Wall Fix Brackets – available in different projection sizes to position the pole away from the wall and allow curtains to hang freely.

Ceiling Fix Brackets – suitable where wall fixing is not possible or when a clean ceiling-mounted installation is preferred.

The brackets available for your order will depend on the glider option selected, as some glider systems require specific bracket types to ensure correct clearances and smooth curtain operation.

Brakes and Carriers

Optional brakes and carriers are available to improve curtain control and operation.

Curtain Brakes – fitted within the track to prevent the curtain from travelling too far, helping to keep the curtain neatly positioned when opened or closed.

Draw Rod Carriers – allow curtains to be operated using a draw rod rather than handling the fabric directly, helping to protect delicate fabrics and keep curtains cleaner.

One Piece or Two Piece Pole

The Silent Gliss 7610 Metropole can be supplied as one continuous length or in two pieces depending on the size ordered and installation requirements.

If the two-piece option is selected, the pole will be supplied in two equal sections along with a connector that joins the two pieces together during installation. The central join will be visible as it consists of two cut ends meeting together without a cover plate. This does not affect the strength of the pole, although gliders may produce a slight sound when passing over the join.
